Developer Notes: Vector Illustrations

I have a new found appreciation for designers that create vector Graphics. On the surface it looks like it’d take maybe an hour to draw a house, but in reality it took nearly six times that. You really would be surprised how long it takes to make vector illustrations. As time went on I am seeing the need for a brush set for my current project. I seriously under estimate the difficult in vector illustration web design. Remember Highlights? Yea, that “magazine” your mom bought for you when you were like seven. A lot of my inspiration came from old copies of that. I didn’t have real books growing up, lol. Just kids magazines, and I’d watch the kids news on Nick 8:00 CST.

In other news I watched a movie for the first time in a long time. Blood Diamond should be a four start movie; not a three star.  I don’t exactly understand the reviews people give it. Practically all of the negative reviews refrence liberalism. Way to willfully parade your ignorance.  As rediculous as action movies are this one was atleast plausible. I’m not a movie fan, but damn, I fully understand that 90% of today’s scripts are crap. That aint no three star movie.

Future Blog

Just a quick heads up, I plan on redirecting this website once my secret project goes live. Actually I’m not to sure what I am going to do with this site. There are like 1000 links for anime pointing to this site. So, at this point its really up in the air. My secret project is something I’d actually showcase in a portfolio. I thought it would be appropriate to start branding myself. Thats why I stopped blogging on Myspace. Which was practically childish at this point. Thats right, I’m finally making my move. Like a first-timer playing civilization III, lol.

Five Common Refinancing Myths

Should you refinance? Watch this clip from CBS News.

Interest rates are at record lows, and sadly so are the abundance of rumours and misconceptions. Many homeowners are wondering if its wise to refinance given the economic climate. How much is going to cost upfront? What are the fees? With tighter lending regulations what are the odds that I will qualify for a refinancing? The truth is with out doing your homework you will never know any of those things. However, beware of these five common myths about refinancing:

Myth 5: Rates are too high
Myth: Mortgage refinance rates are often way too expensive to make it worth while.

Fact: The truth is today’s finance rates may not be as low as a few years ago, but they’re still a unprecedentedly low if you look at the last fifty years. What are the refinance rates? It doesn’t really matter what they are today. You should ask yourself, “Is this loan in my best interest?” For most homeowners is does. Perhaps this is why finance applications have jumped 10% year over year.

Myth 4: Confusing Paperwork
Myth: Since the closing costs on a mortgage finance are extremely expensive. Therefor, the whole ordeal costs more than you’d save by refinancing.

Fact: Refinancing your mortgage will help you save money. Today interests rates really couldn’t be lower. Odds are you will save a ton of money if you refinance. If you refinance to a shorter term you will save money on the Interest in the long term.

Myth 3: I can skip a payment if I refinance
Myth: If you refinance before your mortgage payment is due they wave that payment

Fact: This couldn’t be further from the truth. Even though this honestly makes no sense it is a very common misconception. You will only be able to defer your payment for a month. Essentially you’ll be paying a double mortgage the follow month your refinanced mortgage payment is due.

Myth 2: It costs too much
Myth: The process of refinancing a mortgage can be complicated, and down right annoying.

Fact: The first time you do anything it isn’t exactly easy. So, for first-time homebuyers this definitely has some amount of truth. If you choose the same lender they will use the paperwork from your original mortgage. Also, second mortgages require far less paperwork than the first.

Myth 1: You can only refinance with my current lender.
Myth: Who ever you take your loan out with is always going to own that loan.

Fact: If there is anything we’ve learned over the past year its that loans are commonly sold. But, you have to do your homework. You need to find a qualified financial loan officer who understands your goals, and will help you reach them. Sometimes credit unions offer better rate than banks.

Community

God, Twitter’s community is really just a bunch of people who think they are more significant than they really are. Ever since the Iranian election everyone is promoting their cause. Its almost annoying to hear <insert name> is leading a revolt against <insert name>. Collectively they have no more power than a single person, lol.

80% of accounts on Twitter are sqautters, or people that only used the service a few times. It’s true that there is a ton of interest in Twitter. People think they are way more important than they really are. Frankly, its all getting a little bit annoying. Is it possible to rack up an 11k AT&T bill in 11 hours? Yes, if your computer is sending out thousands of emails an hour. You can go well above the 1.7mb/s, and just because you’re Adam Savage doesn’t make your accusation right.

In other news my hair is pissing me off yet again. Instead of cutting it off I’m considering an actual style. Other than the ‘lets do nothing’ policy of the past 4 years. There are no good men’s hair style websites. Anyways, time to try out this new fangled comb device.

Lamest Movie of 09: The Hangover

Didn’t like it, they tried way too damn hard to be funny. Even though I watched it on a shitty avi on my computer it still wasn’t that great. I think the movie is terribly over rated. At times it was so awful you had to force yourself to laugh. One of the characters was a generic crazy guy cliche, and none of the scenes with him were very original. The overtop quality is passe after spending any time as /b/tard.

It was just a really lame plot. I don’t really watch movies, but seriously how shitty are comedies these day if this is a good one? If I paid for this in a theater I’d demand my money back. I could get more lulz from the black halocaust museum on June teenth. By far the lamest stab at comedy in a long time.
